Community Engagement
Community Accounting Programme
We are proud to have been actively involved in the Community Accounting Programme since 2018, volunteering as mentors to accounting students supporting not-for-profit organisations across Auckland.
Through this programme, we work alongside senior accounting students from Massey University, providing guidance, oversight, and practical insight as they assist community groups with their financial management. Our role as mentors ensures that organisations receive not only technical support, but also advice grounded in real-world experience and professional standards.
This initiative enables us to give back to the community in a meaningful way—helping charities, incorporated societies and other not-for-profit organisations strengthen their financial processes, improve reporting and better understand their obligations. At the same time, we are passionate about supporting the next generation of accounting professionals, helping students develop the skills, confidence and ethical foundation needed for their future careers.
Our ongoing involvement reflects our commitment to community impact, professional development, and strong financial governance. By supporting both students and community organisations, we contribute to building a more transparent, capable and sustainable not-for-profit sector.
We value this partnership highly and are proud to play a role in fostering positive outcomes for both the community and the profession.
